It also describes the processing of guest information provided to Us. We follow this Privacy Policy in accordance with Applicable Laws in the places where We operate. In some cases, We may provide additional data privacy notices specific to certain products, practices, or regions. Those terms are to be read in conjunction with this Policy.

This Privacy Policy read with Our Terms of Use and Content Guidelines together form the ‘User Agreement’.

1. Definitions and Key Terms

“Platform” means the StyleZen site or mobile application, including any webpages which may be associated with it from time to time.
“Modification” means any upgrade, update, or other modification to the Platform
“Applicable Laws” means all statutes, enactments, acts of legislature or parliament, laws, ordinances, rules, by-laws, regulations, notifications, guidelines, policies, directions, directives, and orders of any governmental authority, as may be applicable to the User
“Services” means the services provided via the Platform by the Company
“Users” refers to the individuals who are allowed to use the Platform in accordance with the User Agreement
“Content Guideline” or “Guidelines” means a written statement or set of instructions that Users must follow while creating Content on the Platform
“Content” is defined as the text, links, graphics, photos, videos, audio, streams, emojis, comments, user bio or other materials available on the Platform.

Public nature of StyleZen:

Public Content Submission: When you submit content such as posts, comments, or messages to public areas of StyleZen, it becomes accessible to all visitors and users of our platform. This includes your username, the date and time of submission, and any associated content. Please consider the public nature of StyleZen before posting any content.
Public Profile: Your StyleZen profile page is public and may display information about your activities on the platform. This includes your username, previous posts and comments, raves, achievements, profile display name, bio, social links, profile picture, moderator or contributor status, premium membership status, active communities, and the duration of your membership.
Social Sharing Features: We offer social sharing features that allow you to share content or actions you take on StyleZen with other platforms. Your use of these features may involve sharing certain information with your friends or the public, depending on your chosen settings with the third-party provider of the social sharing feature. Please refer to the privacy policies of these third parties (e.g., Tumblr, Facebook, X) for more information on data collection and processing related to social sharing features.
Moderator and Third-Party Access: StyleZen moderators may utilize tools and bots to access content on the platform for moderation purposes.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information from our users:

Information you provide us: At StyleZen, you have the freedom to explore and engage with our platform even without creating an account. However, if you choose to create a StyleZen account, here's what you need to know about your account and the information you provide:
- Account Creation:
  - When you create a StyleZen account, you'll choose a username. This username is public and doesn't have to be your real name. You can select one that reflects your style or interests.
  - Depending on how you register (email, Single Sign-On like Apple or Google.
  - During account creation, you may be asked to select interests you're interested in (e.g., fashion, beauty, trends) to help tailor your experience on StyleZen.
- Personal Data
  - information that identifies (whether directly or indirectly) a particular individual, such as the individual’s name, email address, user profile picture, age, gender, bodytype, skintone, undertone, and interests. When anonymous information is directly or indirectly associated with Personal Data, the resulting information also is treated as Personal Data. All Personal Data that You provide to Us must be true, complete, and accurate, and You must notify Us of any changes to such Personal Data. However, We do not consider Personal Data to include information that has been aggregated and/or anonymized so that it does not identify You. Any data which is secured, hashed, and/or encrypted and/or does not reveal Your identity, is not Personal Data.
- User generated content:
  - The Content You create on StyleZen, and the associated metadata, such as when, where, and by whom the content was created.
- Actions you take:
  - We collect information about the actions you take when using the Services. This includes your interactions with the platform and content, like voting, saving, hiding, and reporting. It also includes your interactions with other users, such as following, and blocking.
Information collected automatically: We automatically collect certain information when You visit, use, or navigate the Platform. This may include device and usage information, such as Your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when You use the Platform, and other technical information. This information is needed to maintain the security and operation of the Platform, as well as for analytics and reporting purposes to help keep StyleZen more relevant for You. The data We collect includes:
- Log and usage data:
  - We may log information when you access and use the Services. This may include your IP address, user-agent string, browser type, operating system, referral URLs, device information (e.g., device IDs), device settings, mobile carrier name, pages visited, links clicked, the requested URL, and search terms
- Information collected from cookies and similar technologies:
  - We may receive information from cookies, which are pieces of data your browser stores and sends back to us when making requests, and similar technologies. We use this information to deliver and maintain our Services, improve your experience, understand user activity, personalize content and advertisements, measure the effectiveness of advertising, and improve the quality of our Services. For example, we store and retrieve information about your preferred language and other settings
Information from other sources: We do not collect any information from other sources.

How long We retain Your Data for

We keep different types of information for different periods of time:
- Your Profile Information and Content is available on the Platform for the duration of Your account.
- We store Your Profile Information, Content and other personally identifiable data as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose it was collected for.
Publically available Content can exist elsewhere even after You remove it from the Platform. For example, search engines and other third parties may retain copies of Your Content for a longer period of time, based upon their own policies, even after they are deleted or expire on the Platform.
Where You violate Our Guidelines and terms as defined in the Content Guidelines and Terms of Use and Your account is suspended, We may keep the identifiers You used to create the account (i.e. email address or phone number) to prevent repeat policy offenders from creating new accounts, in compliance with Applicable Law.
We may keep certain information in order to comply with legal requirements and for safety and security reasons, in compliance with Applicable Law.
We keep the Personal Data that You provide to Us and some information that is collected automatically when You visit the Platform.
Deleting Your Account: You can delete Your Account at any time by going to Your profile on StyleZen, pressing the settings icon on the top right and selecting Delete from the menu. You may also delete your account by raising a request via the Account Deletion Form.
Where You violate Our Guidelines and terms as defined in the Content Guidelines and Terms of Use and Your account is suspended, We may keep the identifiers You used to create the account (i.e. email address or phone number) to prevent repeat policy offenders from creating new accounts, in compliance with Applicable Law.
We may keep certain information in order to comply with legal requirements and for safety and security reasons, in compliance with Applicable Law.

How We Use Your Information

We collect Your data for lawful purposes, including but not limited to what is listed below:

To facilitate account creation and login process: We use social sign-in to facilitate the account creation and login process and may collect some personal data including Your name and email address.
Provide and Maintain Service: We use the information We collect to provide and operate Our products and services. We also use the information We collect to improve and personalize Our products and services so that You have a better experience on StyleZen, including showing You more relevant Content and ads, suggesting people and topics to follow, and enabling and helping You discover affiliates, third-party apps, and services. We may use the information We collect from accounts of other services that You choose to connect Your account to provide You features like cross-posting or cross-service authentication, and to operate Our services. We use Your contact information to help others find Your account if Your settings permit so, including through third-party services and client applications.
Research and Analysis: We use the information We collect to measure and analyze the effectiveness of Our products and services and to better understand how You use them in order to make them better.
For the performance of the Contract: To enforce Our terms, conditions, and policies for business purposes, to comply with legal and regulatory requirements, or in connection with Our contract
To respond to legal requests: If We receive a summon or other legal requests, We may need to inspect the data We hold to determine how to respond.
To Communicate With You: We use the information We collect to communicate with You about Our products and services, including product updates and changes to Our policies and terms. We may also send You marketing messages from time to time.
To Manage Your Requests: We may use Your information to respond to Your inquiries and solve any potential issues You might have with the use of Our Services.

We process Your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of Our contract with You, and to comply with Our legal obligations.

How We Share Information

With Service Providers: We may share Your information with Our service providers that perform functions and provide services on Our behalf, with service providers that host Our various blogs and wikis, with service providers that help Us understand the use of Our services, and those that provide fraud detection services.
For Business Transfers: We may share, sell, or transfer information about You in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy. This Privacy Policy will apply to Your Personal Data that is shared with (before and after the close of any transaction) or transferred to the new entity
With Affiliates: We may share information amongst Our affiliates to provide Our products and services
With Other Users: Information about You, such as Your username, profile picture, raves score, list and count of following and followers, polls, posts, inspirations participated in, polls, posts, inspirations commented on (“Profile Information”), Content created by You on StyleZen, etc. There is presently no restriction on how widely Your Content or Profile Information is shared and is available for all Users on the Platform to view and interact with, irrespective of whether they are signed into the Platform or not. Third Parties: We share or disclose your information with your consent or at your direction with third party services where Your Content can be integrated or shared. Please read Clause 4 for more information on how we share information with third parties.
With Users' Consent: We may process Your data if You have given Us specific consent to use Your Personal Data for a specific purpose.

We share Your information for legitimate business interests.

Opting Out

You can always opt out of Our Services or choose not to disclose information to Us at any time. However, keep in mind that some information may be needed to register with Us or to take advantage of Our features. By providing limited information, or by availing of the opt-out provision, You may not be able to access the full functionalities of Our Services and Application, and some features may be disabled for Your access.
We reserve the right to continue to keep a copy of Your Personal Data if required by law. We may use any aggregated/anonymized data derived from Your account, in a matter which shall not infringe upon Your privacy.

You can opt out of using the Platform at any time.

Your Rights

Access, Correction, and Portability. You can access and edit most of Your basic account information right on the Platform by going to the Your Profile section.
Mobile Notifications: We may send promotional and non-promotional push notifications and alerts to any mobile device You may access the StyleZen mobile application through. You can deactivate these messages at any time by changing the notification settings on that mobile device.
Right to Erasure: You can at any point of time contact Us for the removal of Personal Data unless it is necessary for legal or business purposes.
Right to nominate: The User has the right to nominate any other individual to exercise the rights on his behalf as defined in this clause in the event of his death or incapacity caused due to unsoundness of mind or body.

Email and Contact Information

Your email address or other contact information is never shared with anyone. StyleZen uses login via Google or Apple OAuth, so no password is required at login. The email ID shared by the OAuth provider is never shared with a third party.

Children's Privacy

StyleZen requires people accessing the Platform to be eighteen (18) years of age or older
If You do not meet the age requirements as per Applicable Laws, You should immediately navigate away from the Platform. StyleZen shall not provide Services to anyone below the legal age of consent and reserves the right to block Users it knows are under the legal age of consent. If You believe We may have mistakenly or unintentionally allowed access to the Platform or collected any information from a person under the legal age of consent, please contact Us using the contact information provided below. Accessing the Platform means You warrant that You are of legal age to use Our Services
We may take additional steps to protect children’s privacy, including:
1. Notifying parents and guardians about Our information practices with regard to children, including the types of data We collect, how We use that information, and how We share that information.
2. Obtaining consent from parents and guardians for the collection of Personal Data from their children, or for sending information about Our products and services directly to their children.
3. Limiting Our collection of Personal Data from children to what is reasonably necessary to participate in an online activity.
4. Giving parents and guardians access or the ability to request access to Personal Data We have collected from their children and the ability to request that the Personal Data be changed or deleted.

We may take additional measures to protect the privacy of children below the age of 18 years.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our platform.
